Marilynn June Copeland, age 87 of Portage, died on April 14, 2024. She was born on June 22, 1936, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Frederick and Lottie (Hawes) Koenig. On August 26, 1974, Marilynn married Gordon Copeland, who preceded her in death in 2005. Marilynn worked for Borgess Hospital and the City of Kalamazoo. Her family includes her children: Frederick Koenig, Donald (Shirley) Pease, and Sherry (Robert) Hulet; her 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Eugenia (Carl) Hayward, Margaret (John) Baker, Frederick (Carol) Koenig, Gerald (Marilyn) Koenig, Rosemary Koenig, and Larry Koenig; and many nieces and nephews.
