ROBYN, Mrs. Margaret M. Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday, December 28, 2006. Margaret was born June 5, 1910, in Kalamazoo, MI, a daughter of Walter and Mable Marchant Runnels and had been a life long area resident. Margaret retired from the Michigan Department of Social Services in 1975. She was employed as a secretary to the director there for ten years. Previous employment included: Kalamazoo State Hospital, four years; Mulholland Outdoor Advertising Company, 10 years, and secretarial work at Borgess Hospital, Medical Records, for six years. She attended Kalamazoo East Congregation of Jehovah?s Witnesses.Margaret enjoyed reading and writing and her many loving relationships with friends and family. On June 21, 1930, she was united in marriage with Martin Robyn, who preceded her in death on February 2, 1998. Surviving are: a daughter, Molly Ron Hamilton of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, Mark Kevin Hamilton of Schoolcraft and Heidi Leigh Schwoebel of Richland; 2 great-grandchildren, Allison Marie and Jacob Martin Schwoebel; a sister, Frances Buttrick of Grand Rapids; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will gather for visitation from 2-4 & 6-8pm on Sunday, December 31, 2006, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Private interment services will be held in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 2:00 Tuesday afternoon, January 2, 2007, at Kalamazoo East Congregation of Jehovah?s Witnesses, 4200 Nazareth Road, with Elder Bruce Boven, officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Jehovah?s Witnesses or to the charity of one?s choice.
