Maedonna "Donna" (Goldsmith) Knauss

Maedonna Knauss “Donna” died Sunday, June 25, 2023, in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born August 3, 1932, in St. Joseph, MI a daughter of Karl and Mandanna (DeWitt) Goldsmith.

Donna graduated from Mattawan High School. She was a stay-at-home mom in her earlier years, then went to work at the Upjohn company where she retired. Donna loved to dance. She also enjoyed gardening and camping with her family and friends. Best of all she enjoyed her grandkids and spending time with her family. She also was a Detroit Tigers fan.

On May 7, 1954, Donna married Durwood Knauss who preceded her in death on December 27, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Knauss; and sisters, Josephine Veld, and Marilyn Dunfield. Donna is survived by her children, Susan (John “Buzz”) Maartens, Pamela Peters, and Timothy (April) Knauss; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Ellen Britton, Leanore Rhodes, and David (Marilyn) Goldsmith; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10am Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th St, Kalamazoo MI 49009, where services will begin at 11am.
