Lyndora Dea Curry, “LynD”, died peacefully Friday, December 9, 2022, in Centrica Rose Arbor Place. She was born July 27, 1961, in Vicksburg, MI a daughter of Kimble D. and Alicia B. (Conant) Boner, Sr.
LynD enjoyed growing up in Schoolcraft with her siblings, Kim, Lidj and Matt. Each year the family enjoyed vacations to the Upper Peninsula and to visit family in Pennsylvania. Time in a small town allowed for ample outside games, the traditional – football, and untraditional – “lay them up, knock them down”. She graduated from Schoolcraft High School.
She was fortunate to find her soul mate – Michael Curry. They married September 28, 1991. Blessed with many exciting, fun, adventure filled years!! Mike’s job allowed them to travel for 10 years, living in a motor home! Other years were spent with great fishing (and fish tales) and glorious golfing! LynD scored a hole in one at Eastern Hills Golf Course!
LynD was fortunate to have a great list of Pet Children – Bisket, Two Toes, Trey, Four and Five.
In addition to Pet Children, many adult/teenagers were allowed to call LynD Mom. Even a group called “Adopted Stepchildren from "heck"”.
LynD was known for her compassion. As mentioned earlier, no matter age or circumstance, you were welcome. But going to LynD was not all about “woe is you”. She would lend an ear but give you a dose of reality when needed.
Her compassion to her family and friends was immense and immeasurable. The countless experiences that Bonnie and Jan had with LynD were legendary, shopping, bingo, casino…
LynD was preceded in death by her father, Kimble. She is survived by her husband, Michael Curry; her mother, Alicia “Bonnie” Boner; siblings, Kim (Diane) Bonner, Lidjia Boner and Matthew (Yvonne) Bond, and the following nieces/nephews: Nate, Alicia, Lexi, Abby, Ashley, Chad, Emmy and Tyler, and many people who would be honored to be considered family of LynD.
