LEASOR, Luella Ruth Of Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday December 6, 2006. Luella was born October 7, 1918 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Arthur and Lucy Fowler Valentine. She was employed with Shakespeare Co. during WW II and for several years with the WMU Book Store. Luella was a member of the Ladies of the Elks, the Moose Lodge and the Comstock VFW Post #6252 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed bingo, dancing, golfing, and traveling. On May 27, 1939 she was united in marriage to Ferdinand W. Leasor who preceded her in death on January 25, 1987. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Curry of Tampa, FL and Nancy Salvaggio of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren, Cristopher Curry and Shawn Robert Hurley; 3 great-grandchildren. A Service to celebrate Luella?s life will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday December 19, 2006 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. A private family interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Luella?s memory may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
