Lorraine Kay Hossink

Lorraine “Lori” Hossink, age 75, passed away peacefully in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Sunday, March 3, 2024. 

Lori was born in 1948 in Michigan and attended Big Rapids High School. She spent much of her adult life working in the HVAC industry. After retirement, she lived in Sumter, South Carolina and Ormond Beach, Florida until returning to Kalamazoo, Michigan to be closer to family. In her spare time, Lori was an avid reader and enjoyed lively political discourse.

Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Wava (Chamberlain) Osborn; her father, Orville Osborn; her husband and the love of her life, Jack Hossink; and her two step-sons, Jerry and John Hossink. She is survived by her sisters Kate Hogensen and Jeni Flynn; her daughter, Juliet (Jeremy) Johnson; step-children Jeff (Kristen) Hossink, Jamie (Andrea) Hossink and Darcy Osborn, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Lori was a passionate planner, hosting many family events and parties over the years. She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and her home was always open to them at any time.
