Lloyd Nathaniel Burch was born on November 22, 1945 in Kalamazoo, MI to Lloyd and Rozella Burch. He passed quietly at home surrounded by his family and friends after a long battle with cancer on May 19, 2023. Lloyd joined the Army on November 2, 1965 where he served his country during the Vietnam War for 2 years. He married Sylvia Maxine Price on July 23, 1968 where they lived in Kalamazoo, MI for most of their lives.
He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Burch, mother Rozella Burch, his wife Sylvia, brother-in-law Al Evans and siblings: Shirley, Danny, Linda, Steve and John.
He will be missed by his sister, Judy Evans; brother, Harold Kutz; sister, Becky; son, Lloyd (Lynn) Burch; daughter, Victoria (Randy) Steel; Granddaughter, Rozella (Joe) Crutcher; Grandsons, Cody (Margaret) Warren; Nate (Bailee) Warren; Gage Kohler; Casey (Jess) Ritsema and Amanda Ritsema. Along with all his great-grandchildren; Maysen, Devin, Cody, Paxton, Joey and many friends.
His passions in life besides his family were to go hunting every year, golfing all summer with his son, camping with the family and friends, fishing with his grandchildren, and he loved to build things out of wood.
Friends may visit with Lloyd's family on Tuesday, May 23rd from 6:00-8:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Home, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, where his service will be held on Wednesday, May 24th at 11:00 AM with Pastor Joe Shaler officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Fort Custer National Cemetery with military honors.
