Linda Mae (Leep) Schipper

Linda Mae Schipper aka “Ricks Flower Lady” passed away Saturday morning, September 23, 2023. Linda was born April 29, 1951 to the late Clarence and Alyda (Bouman) Leep. Linda grew up in Martin, MI and graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School in 1969. Linda worked as a florist for Harding’s and Jewel Markets. She later went to work for the Comstock Township Library where she finished her working career. She had a passion for her plants and flowers and cooking and baking, all of which she was excellent at.

In 2003 Linda met Richard “Rick” “Skip” Schipper, Jr who she became partners with and married in 2005. Together Rick and Linda enjoyed and loved their families without exception. Linda and Rick liked to travel, go fishing, go out to eat with friends; or simply spend time, just the two of them together.

Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her in-laws, Dick and Lois Schipper. She is survived by her loving husband Rick; sister, Garnette (Myron) of Martin, MI; brothers, Gene (Sharon) of Portage, Jim (Helen) of Kalamazoo; daughter, Tia (Todd) of Plainwell; son, Josh (Monica) of Texas; stepdaughter, Valerie (Jimmy) of Comstock; grandchildren, Kenzie and Cormac of South Carolina, Lexie and Addy of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews.
