Leonard J. Grabowski

Leonard J. Grabowski, age 86 of Vicksburg, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023 at Birch Meadows in Three Rivers, Michigan. He was born September 4, 1937, in Hamtramck, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Olga (Slachowicz) Grabowski. Leonard was a natural athlete and excelled at baseball. He played in high school and college. He graduated from Saint Ladislaus High School in 1955 and received his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in 1960. For 40 years, Leonard worked at Nulty Insurance Agency, retiring as a marketing manager. On April 6, 1959, he married Judith Benzenberg. His family includes his wife, Judith Grabowski; his children: Julie Grabowski, Robert (Sherry) Grabowski, and Joseph Grabowski; and his granddaughters: Hannah and Jenna Grabowski. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family will greet friends on Friday, September 29th, from 10:00-11:00 AM at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 5855 W Avenue East, Vicksburg, MI 49097, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, with Monsignor Thomas Martin presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Leonard may be made to The Kirk Gibson Foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, or the American Diabetes Association.
