SCOTT, LaVeda L. Galesburg Passed away October 12, 2006 at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo, Michigan. LaVeda was born January 23, 1919 in Brooklyn, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Charlie and Adda M. Good Kerr. She was united in marriage to Clarence W. Scott on December 20, 1934. She was a long time member of Haven Reformed Church in Kalamazoo. LaVeda?s love of God and her family was first and foremost in her life. Other interests were always centered on them, God and family. Surviving LaVeda are children; Clarence Dale Mary A. Scott of Galesburg, James Clinton Judy A. Scott of Climax, Kenneth E. Judy C. Scott of Galesburg and Brenda S. Scott of Galesburg; grandchildren, Brian Linda ? deceased Scott, Anna Gary Goodsell, Mark Mary Scott, Rodney Lori Lee Scott, Dan and Kimberly Scott; great grandchildren, Paul, Ashley, Jessica, John and Leeanna Scott; brother?s, Merle, Arvis and Curtis Kerr; sister?s, Lona McBride, Ila Cole and Lila Shipe. Preceding LaVeda in death were; husband Clarence W.; infant daughter, Betty Lou; brother?s, Melvin, Wilford, Herbert and Harold Kerr; sister?s, Zona Lightfoot and Lela Dockins. Visitation will take place Sunday, October 15, 2006 from 6 ? 8:00 PM, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St., Galesburg, MI., Funeral service will take place Monday, October 16, 2006, 11:00 AM at the Galesburg Chapel, Pastor Roy Ackerman, officiating. Interment following at Oakgrove Cemetery in Galesburg. Memorials may be directed in LaVeda?s name, to Leader Dogs for the Blind, 1039 S. Rochester Rd., Rochester, MI 48063 or Kairos Dwelling, 2945 Gull Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
