Kenneth Ramsdell

Kenneth J. Ramsdell, age 83 of Portage, died on February 12, 2023, at Medilodge of Portage. He was born on October 6, 1939, in Kalamazoo, the son of Lyle and Luella (Rowlson) Ramsdell. Ken was a 1958 graduate of Climax-Scotts High School. Ken worked for National Waterlift and owned the Texaco in Comstock. Later, he worked for Frigid Food and Macke Company. Ken enjoyed fishing and was a lifelong NASCAR fan. His family includes his children: Julie (James) Milner and Bruce Ramsdell, and their mother Joan Ryon; special nephew Scott Newell and special niece Trina Newell; his grandchildren: Adam and Mariah Rose Milner, Thomas, Robert, and Grayson Ramsdell; his sister Nancy Milan; his stepsiblings: Connie (Skip) Miner, and Gary (Robin) Eyre; his special cousins: Richard, Robert, and Roger Skidmore, Lola Greg, Linda Bale, and Lyle Rylander; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepsiblings: Laverne Eyre, Janet Wright, and John Ramsdell, and his wife Susan Newell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 205 E. Maple Street, Climax, 49034, where a time to visit with his family will be held from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, followed by the memorial service with Pastor Jeff McNally.
