John Paul Vrbancic

John Paul Vrbancic, age 74, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.

John was born in Kalamazoo on September 1, 1948, the son of the late Joseph Charles Vrbancic and Mary Louise (Kolarich) Vrbancic. He worked as a Research Biologist for Upjohn and then Pharmacia, retiring after many years of service. He was an avid coin collector and was once President of the Kalamazoo Numismatic Club.

He is survived by his dear friend, Denise Laraque and her husband Nicholas, and their sons, Jason and Nicholas VanEpps.

Private interment will take place in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Kalamazoo Numismatic Club, 834 King Highway, Suite 110, Kalamazoo, MI 49001.
