BROWN, John R. Sr.
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died Friday, April 18, 2008 at Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo. John was born January 31, 1926 in Kalamazoo to the late John O. and Margaret E. Robert Brown. John was united in marriage to Mary Harber on November 20, 1946, who survives him. Also surviving him are his children, Sandra Brown of Manor, TX, John R. Brown Jr. of Kalamazoo, David Brown of Lawton, MI and Susan Curtis Clemens of Paw Paw; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Jane Gumbiner. Preceding him in death was a daughter, Linda Brown in 2003. Visitation with family will be Monday, the 21st from 4 - 8:00PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave., Portage, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM. Committal services will be scheduled next week.
