Kalamazoo, MI Died Tuesday morning February 10, 2009. Joellen was born January 19, 1927 in Gary, Indiana a daughter of Glenn and Katherine Stalnaker Litton. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert E. Brooks in 1978. She is survived by a son, Allen Lisa Brooks of Portage; 2 brothers, Glenn Marilyn Litton of Arlington, MA and Ward Joyce Litton of Bonita Springs, FL; and a niece. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo County Mental Health Department. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. www.langelands.com . 343-1508.
