Jeffery Wayne Briggs

Jeffery Wayne Briggs passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at his home. He was born September 5, 1961, in Three Rivers, MI a son of William M. and Wilma G (Brown) Briggs. His life partner is Shirley Beadles.

He graduated from Constantine Public School in Michigan where he participated in band, wrestling, and football. He graduated from Aquinas College and became an elementary teacher in South Carolina where he lived for many years. He obtained his master’s degree at Lesley University. Later in his career he was a technology coach. After his retirement he taught adult education for four years.

Jeff was an avid golfer. A few years ago, he made a hole-in-one at the 9th hole at the St. Joe Valley Golf Club.

The times Jeff spent with his family and his many nieces and nephews, and stepchildren were joyous and will be cherished forever.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Susan E. Briggs. He is survived by his partner, Shirley Beadles; siblings, Daniel (Annette) Briggs, Pamela (Larry) Ill, and Janice (Bobby) Anderson, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Shirley’s daughters, Betsy Beadles and Kathy Beadles, and grandson, Connor Glidden. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held later.
