HEDGSPETH, Jason P. Portage Passed away Saturday, December 16, 2006. Jason was born May 24, 1973 in Jackson, MI the son of Phillip Ray and Marlene Kay Loud Hedgspeth and had lived in the Portage area for several years. He was a 1991 graduate of Portage Central High School and had been employed at Air Flow Company. Jason attended Faith Church and was active in the Silver Leaf Renaissance festival. His survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife, Michelle Young Hedgspeth, whom he married on his birthday, May 24, 1998; his children, Laura Ashley Hedgspeth and Jason William Hedgspeth, of Portage; his parents, Phillip and Marlene Hedgspeth; his brothers and sisters, Nicole Jeff Bryant, Andrew Jennica Hedgspeth, Penny Hedgspeth, Cassie Hedgspeth and Joelle Hedgspeth; his parents-in-law, Dennis Bonnie Sellers and David Young; his grandparents, Kenneth Pauline Loud of Jackson and Clifford Thelma Hedgspeth of FL; his sisters-in-law, Erin Sellers and fiancée Carl Williams, Rebecca Sellers and fiancée Mike Wheatley, Barbara Joe Collins; his grandparents-in-law, William Laura Brock and Marilyn Young; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. My Prince Charming will be greatly missed, I love you, Michelle. He always called me his Precious Moment. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday in Faith Church, 7200 Angling Road with Pastor Thomas Pace and Rev. David Bruininks officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
