Janice M. Wortinger

Janice M. Wortinger passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024, at the age of 81. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Robert F. and Eunice L. (Millard) Sherman on June 19, 1942. Janice was a graduate of Comstock High School and worked as a machine operator for Contempo Colors for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed old western movies and listening to Elvis. Janice married Robert Wortinger on September 29, 1960, in Kalamazoo, MI and together they shared 61 years of marriage before he passed away in 2022.
Survivors include her two children, Barbara (Michael) Gillespie and Todd (Ann) Wortinger; four grandchildren, Cole (Amanda) Nuyen, Kyle (Teia) Nuyen, Scott (Jessica) Wortinger, Bill (Kalie) Wortinger; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Nuyen, Kyle Nuyen II, Alora Nuyen, Landon Nuyen, Avery Nuyen, Devon Wortinger, and Rosalie Wortinger; two brothers, Robert (Lynn) Sherman and Jerry (Janette) Sherman, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
