Jamie Kyle Logan

Passed away unexpectantly Thursday August 24, 2023. Jamie was born June 11, 1978 in Kalamazoo the son of Jack Logan Jr. and Sheri (Nieuwenhuis) Shon. Jamie graduated from KVCC in 2004 with an Associates of Applied Science in Nursing. It was his great passion in life to work as a registered nurse. His intelligence, empathy, and compassion were far beyond what most people could even comprehend. Jamie loved spending time working out at the gym, he even competed in bodybuilding shows, placing second in the heavyweight class. Jamie had a love for Mustangs and took pride in his 2011 Red Ford Mustang GT. His newfound passion was singing karaoke with family and friends. Jamie had a huge love for all animals, especially his cats, but that love couldn’t compare to the love he had for his siblings. He often called or messaged them to make sure they knew exactly how much he loved them. Jamie had a heart much bigger than this world and he will be greatly missed.

Jamie is survived by his parents, Sheri (Dave) Shon, Jack Jr. (Jenny Argue) Logan; brother and sisters, Jeremy (Sarah) Logan, Jillian (Scott) Brady, Jessica (Cody) Youngblood; his partner, Kate Julian; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Jamie was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Eleanor Nieuwenhuis, Jack Sr. and Florence Logan; and nephew, Connor Brady. Friends may meet the family from 10:00am-11:00am on Friday, September 1 at Centerpoint Church, 2345 North 10th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 where a memorial service to celebrate Jamie’s life will follow at 11:00am. A light reception will follow the service and private interment will be in Genessee Prairie Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Dave and Sheri Shon to help with funeral expenses.
