Jim passed away on Tuesday, June 18, after a year of health issues.
Jim, a cherished NRA, and Southern Michigan Gun Club member found joy in life's simple pleasures. His love for camping, shooting, sports, and canoeing was infectious. He also had a unique passion for collecting stamps, foreign money, and whisky pitchers, which added a distinct charm to his character.
Jim was an avid reader of almost anything, including history.
He was passionate about rescuing dogs instead of buying puppies. They had many dogs, primarily Weimaraners and the current greyhound Tabitha.
Jim's love for his family was a beacon in his life, and his legacy lives on through them. He is survived by his wife, Deb, his partner in life for 49 years, his father-in-law, Richard Wilbur, his sister, Carol Rees, his nephew, Todd Rees, his niece, Meredith, and several cousins.
