Irma Elaine (Dyson) Robinson

Irma Elaine Robinson, age 89, of Kalamazoo passed away September 27, 2023. She was born November 11, 1933 in Richmond, Virginia to the late Charles and Minnie (Johnson) Dyson.

Irma enjoyed a good game of Bingo and trips to the casino. She loved food and watching judge shows on TV. She especially cherished the people around her and loved to spend time with family and friends.

Irma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel J. Robinson; seven brothers; and three sisters.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly Goodwin and Mark Robinson; step-children, Paula Rutland, Patricia (Earl) Jenkins, Lynn (Joe) Coston, Freida Robinson, and Alfred Robinson; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Washington; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A committal service will take place Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 1:30pm at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, August, MI 49012, where she will be laid to rest with her husband. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive by 1:20pm in the funeral assembly area.
