Harry Smith, Jr

Smith Jr., Harry Richland Passed away on Tuesday, October 24,2006 in Zephyrhills, Florida. Harry was born on September 15,1919 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Harry Sr. and Hilda Steltz Smith and has lived in the area since 1953. Harry married the former Rita ?Gracie? Earle on April 19,1941 in Wausau, Wisconsin. He was employed by the Michigan Bell Telephone Co. for 28 years retiring in 1981. Harry was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and belonged to Hickory Masonic Lodge # 345 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Gracie in 1996. Surviving is a son, John Nancy Smith and 2 grandchildren, Crissa Mike Mason of Kalamazoo and Mathew Smith of Richland; one great- granddaughter, Sierra. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 11:00 am at the New Hope Church, 9300 East D Ave., Richland with Pastor Jan DeWitt officiating. A private interment will be held in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Harry?s name may be made to the Sierra J. Mason Education Trust Fund.
