George D. Naegele

NAEGELE, George D. Scotts Passed away Monday, December 25, 2006. George was born November 13, 1928 in Temple, MI the son of George and Hazel B. Sutton Naegele and had been a resident of Scotts for many years. He worked for Consumers Power Company as a lineman and supervisor for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He was a simple man who enjoyed a country life, his family, the outdoors and his hunting dogs. On August 26, 1950 he married the former Dorothy De Pouw, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Sharon Lee Eshlaman of Galesburg, David Elaine Naegele of Kalamazoo and Deborah Adams of Elberta, AL; 4 grandchildren, Annalisa Brian Nieboer, Jeremy Eshlaman, Derrick De Young and Daryl Adams; great grandchildren, Kayla, Morgan and Shelby Nieboer and Phoenix De Young; brother and sister, William Naegele of Mesick, Alma Harrison of Hastings; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Naegele and a sister, Melba Kinney. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 AM in the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Galesburg Chapel, 145 W. Battle Creek St. with Rev. Dan Minor, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 10:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
