Kalamazoo Born Elsie Faye Puckett on October 21, 1929 near Hartselle, Alabama to Wilford Coy and Annie Thelma Puckett. Attended school in the Neal community. Married John Pruit Hensley on August 7, 1946 then moved to Kalamazoo Michigan. Elsie was a homemaker with many interests and skills; including knitting, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, flower gardening, furniture refinishing, ceramics, cooking, reading and quilting. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Lee Allen Puckett. Survived by sons John Hensley of Kalamazoo Michigan and Barry Hensley of Watertown Tennessee. Grandsons Kristoffer Hensley of Kalamazoo and Eli Hensley of Brooklyn New York, granddaughters Jessica Hendricks of Kalamazoo, Elizabeth Bohmeyer and Anna Hensley of Smyrna Tennessee and great granddaughters Ruby Hensley and Alyssa and Ava Bohmeyer. Elsie was Aunt Faye to numerous nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends on Thursday, July 24th from 4-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Hwy., where a funeral service will take place on Friday, July 25th at 10:00 with family also greeting friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock.
