Dorothy L. Griner passed away Monday morning, December 26, 2022, at her residence.  Dorothy was born November 7, 1929, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Hobart and Marion Davidson.  She was united in married to Jack L. Griner on January 31, 1947. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo and retired from KVP Sutherland/Georgia Pacific in 1986. She bowled many years in the women’s leagues with her close friends. Dorothy and Jack enjoyed time at their cabin up north and spent many winters after retirement in Ocala, Florida.

Dorothy will be loved and missed by her entire family. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 2018. Also preceding her in death were her parents; siblings, Robert Davidson, Betty Simpson, and Phyllis Verkow; brother-in-law, Briene Verkow; and son-in-law, Jerry Veld. Surviving are her children, Sandy (Joseph) Hnilo, Judy (Phillip) Foster, David Griner, Nancy Veld, and Thomas (Kara) Griner; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth (Gerry) Davidson.

A private entombment service will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. Memorials may be directed to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.
