Donna L. (West) Wallace

Donna L. Wallace, age 80 of Portage, died at Bronson Methodist Hospital on October 17, 2022. She was born on October 19, 1941, in Talahoma, Tennessee, the daughter of George and Pauline (Waterson) West. The family moved to the Kalamazoo area when Donna was 9 years old. She was a 1960 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and worked at the Stryker Corporation for many years. In August of 1982, Donna met Molly Wilson and they began a beautiful relationship that lasted for 40 years until her death. Donna loved to bowl and was good at it! She and her parents were avid bowlers, she shared many fond memories of her love for the sport.  Molly introduced Donna to the world of antiques and Donna introduced Molly to the world of flower gardening which together gave them countless hours of fun and beauty.  Donna loved her dear friends Jodi and Rick and the many hours of fun at their pool laughing, talking and eating great food together.  Molly and Donna were married on May 10, 2016. Her family includes her wife, Molly Wilson; her daughters: Michelle Jacobs and Lisa (Bryan) Bouma; her grandchildren: Cory (Amanda) Jacobs and Vanessa Bouma; her great-grandchildren: Tara, Thomas, and Andre; and her nephews: Gary (Michelle) West and Greg (Kathy) West.
