Donna Lee (Van Auken) Dangler

Passed away Friday, June 16, 2023 at her son's home in Florida. Donna was born on September 30, 1953, to Wayne and the late Marian (Doorlag) Van Auken, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Donna graduated from Comstock High School in 1971.

She enjoyed boating, swimming, beaches, tanning, and the outdoors in general. She also really enjoyed playing games, most of which were card games with friends and family. She and her late husband Rickey very much loved their time at their cabin in Northern Michigan as well. She also very much enjoyed spending time with family, as well as her special times with her grandkids.

Donna was viewed as a very happy and loving individual and she was a very likable person. Very seldom did she meet a person she did not connect with on some level. She was very easy to love.

Donna is survived by her father; son, Travis (Coleen) Taplin; grandchildren, Noah Taplin, Rebecca Taplin, Kylie Taplin, and Brittney Dangler; great grandchildren, Andrace Dangler and Adrian Dangler; siblings, Wainetta (Richard) Holmes and Dan (Carol) Van Auken; two stepchildren; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her mother, and husband of over 30 years, Rickey Dangler.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009, on August 5, 2023, at 12:00pm. Following the service, the family invites anyone to a light lunch at the same location.
