Donald Lee Leonard died Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at his home. He was born March 25, 1953, in Plainwell, MI son of Raymond G. and Alice (LaCert) Leonard.
He spent most of his teen years running around town, fishing, and working on cars. Donald worked many jobs. He was a Jack of all trades and loved fixing up homes and working on cars – his true passion. He loved to play bingo and cribbage (his favorite), go fishing, and spending time with family and friends. When it came to family there was nothing he wouldn’t do. He was always there when we needed him, and he would sit for hours to anyone that had problems in life. Donald was famous to many for his Donald Duck voice and just for being a stand-up guy that wanted nothing out of life but for people to smile and have fun.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Angela; a son, Andrew; and sisters, Laura, Jeanette “Dale” and Margaret “Peggy”. He is survived by his children, Charles Leonard, Jenny Leonard, and Shawn Osborn; grandchildren, Marissa, BJ, Joey, Cody, Dominic, Heaven, LaTasha, Shawn, Buddy, Sissy, Chase, Gabby, Lee, Antonio, and Ray; great-grandchildren Cortez, D’Angelo, and Nina; brothers, Raymond Guy Leonard, Gary Leonard, Bruce Leonard, Bob Leonard, and Danny Leonard; sister, Charlene; special niece, Brandy; and many other nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St, Kalamazoo MI 49007. To view Donald’s personalized web page, please visit https://www.langelands.com
