Dolores T. Pylar

Dolores Theresa Pylar of Kalamazoo passed away on October 3, 2023.  Born on March 3, 1936, in Detroit to the late Adolph and Sophie Dzienisowicz. Beloved wife of Donald who passed away in 2012.  Loving mother of Donna who passed away in 2018, Darlene (Kim Kellermann), Daniel (Denise), and Doreen.

Beloved grandmother to Deanna (Matthew Baldwin), Deidre (Chris Lincoln), Daniel Jr. (Kayleigh), and Dennis (Abby) Pylar.  Great grandmother to Sophia, Sorha, Caleb, Oliver, Eleanor and Jack.

Cherished sister of Stella (Jay) Flocks, Virginia (Tim) Brown, the late Wanda Serement, the late Helen (Leon) Busch, the late Lucy (Ed) Stiller. Loving sister-in-law to Michael Serement.

Dolores graduated from Felician Academy and then Marygrove College before starting her career with AT&T, until a more fulfilling opportunity came along – raising a family.  She also worked alongside her husband at his business, Kalamazoo Supply Company.

A visitation will be held for Dolores on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 3926 S 9th St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 11:00 am at St John Bosco Catholic Church, 23830 Front St, Mattawan, MI 49071 with a luncheon to follow.
