Dennis Glenn Cooley

Dennis Glenn Cooley born April 30, 1948, passed away the evening of October 25, 2022, in Kalamazoo, MI after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Dennis grew up in Kalamazoo and after graduating from Loy Norrix High School in 1966, he joined the Air Force as a mechanic where he got his love for working on cars. Dennis was an avid reader, collecting hundreds of books. He loved cars from an early age even collecting Hot Wheels for the last 25 years. Dennis had a great love for music, he was always up to see a band or concert and would retell stories of seeing bands like The MC5, Janis Joplin and Johnny Cash in his youth. Dennis left Kalamazoo for the warmer weather of Arizona when he retired from Kalsec after 22 years of service in 2009. After the passing of his wife of 52 years, Patricia, October 24, 2021, he decided to move back to Michigan to be closer to his family. Dennis is survived by his four children, Rob (Charlote), John, Dana, and Dan. Eight grandkids, Emily, Brian, RuthAnn, Amanda, Elizabeth, Ryan, Brooke, and Johnny Jr. He had 7 great-grand kids with three more on the way. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah, where Dennis spent some of his time as a volunteer.
