Debbie Lou Wagner

April 29, 1956 — January 6, 2023

Debbie Lou Wagner passed away Friday, January 6, 2023. She was born April 29, 1956, in Kalamazoo, MI daughter of Louis and Barbara Warner.

She grew up in the Cooper area and was active in Girl Scouts which started a love for the outdoors she never lost. She graduated from Parchment High School in 1974 and stayed close to the area her entire life. In 1988 Debbie met her husband, Bob, and raised her two sons alongside his five children. They married in 2004. She was somewhat of a music buff and an avid collector of vintage vinyl. Her vinyl collection is somewhere near 3,500 albums. After the kids had grown Debbie and Bob moved out to Crooked Lake in Delton. This was a lifelong dream of hers to live on the water and she truly enjoyed the lake life. Debbie loved to fish or simply go for a pontoon ride. She loved to entertain and hosted many cookouts and holiday gatherings. She immensely enjoyed providing daycare for several of her grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy and her numerous good friends a close second.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Robert Wagner, a Vietnam Veteran. Also surviving are her mother Barbara (Relaford) Warner, her children, Eric Followell and Travis Followell; Robert’s children, Bobby Kniss, Raymond Wagner, Jennifer Wagner, Patricia Wagner, and Brad Wagner; eleven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; siblings, Paul Warner, Kathy Swanson, and Randy Warner; and several nieces and nephews.
