March 20, 1950 to August 7, 2014 Dawn passed away suddenly Thursday August 7, 2014 at her residence in Plainwell.
She was born March 20, 1950 in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of the late Arden and Delores Gillespie. For 20 years she spent her life working at Upjohn/Pharmacia, as well as Eastland Bowling Alley for multiple years, and Sav-A-Lot when she resided in Alabama. In October of 2013 she decided it was finally time to retire. Spending time with her family and friends making memories brought her such joy to her life. Not only here in Michigan but in Alabama as well. In the years she spent at Eastland Bowl she enjoyed coaching kids and acquiring friends, which she had so many that were near and dear to her heart. Surviving is her daughter Kari Kris Currier of Plainwell; grandsons Tyler Steven and Hunter James Currier of Plainwell; her Siblings Linda Doug Blain of Vicksburg, her twin Diane Jack Roberson of Kalamazoo, Sharon Gonzales of Kalamazoo, Rick Dennis Gillespie of Brooklyn; as well as special nieces and nephews Jim Heather Roberson of Vicksburg, Terrie Kevin Roberson of Portage, Steve Roberson of Portage, Lori Roberson of Parchment; several nieces and nephews; and her Hammock Family in Battle Creek. As well as her parents, she was preceded by her twin boys Joey and Cory Lee Roberson; and brothers Ronald Gillespie and Doug Graham. As per her wishes a "Celebration of her Life" will be held at Eastland Bowling Alley Nite Moves in Kalamazoo, MI on Thursday August 14, 2014 from 3:30 to 7:00. Please stop by and share in her memory with her family. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to her daughter Kari Currier to cover the remaining balance for the funeral services.
