David Frederick Koets

Passed away Saturday April 14, 2023, surrounded by family. David was born on December 26, 1936, to Frederick and Marie (Dietrich) Koets, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After graduating high school, David went on to serve his country proudly and joined the Navy. After serving in the Navy, David met the love of his life, Helen Brenda DePew, who he married on September 10, 1966. Following his time in the Navy, David worked as a mason for many years working for Red Shugars, Adrian Kramer and Bonnema Masonry.

David is survived by his wife, Brenda; sisters, Ann Dick, Ellen (Phillip) Hoard; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kay, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by his parents.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, from 4pm to 7pm, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009.
