Daniel Richard Latora, Jr.

Passed away at his home Friday, July 7, 2023, surrounded by family. Daniel was born on September 6, 1946, to the late Daniel and Virginia (Cole) Latora, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Early on in life, after graduating from high school, Daniel joined the Marine Reserves. Following his time in the military, Daniel worked in a factory, earning many titles in his career. During this time Daniel was joined by his wife, Maureen (Stowe), until her passing last year in 2022. Daniel is survived by his three children, Tonia (Jeff Ziegler) Latora, Daniel (Ashley) Latora, III, Matthew Latora; grandchildren, Alexis (Joshuwa) Schoiber, Devin Ziegler, Emilia Latora; great-grandchild, Maeve Schoiber; brother, Carl (Dian) Latora; nephews, Tony, Andy, and Joe Latora. He is preceded in passing by his wife and parents. As per his request, cremation will take place. To honor Daniel’s life, friends are invited to a memorial gathering on August 5, 2022, at VFW Post #827, from 2pm to 5pm.
