Dale T. French

Dale French, age 76 of Lawton, died on August 9, 2023. He was born January 19, 1947, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the son of Thomas and Eleanor (Friday) French. Dale was a graduate of Hartford High School and Michigan State University. Dale retired as an HVAC Engineer from Upjohn Company/Pfizer after 27 years of service. In 1969, Dale married Judy Sill. They were members of The River Church in Watervliet and truly enjoyed worshipping together with the congregation. Dale enjoyed the outdoors and liked to duck hunt and water ski. He had a genuinely helpful heart and always looked for ways to help neighbors and friends. In later years, he looked forward to attending sporting events for his granddaughters and cheering them on. His family includes his wife, Judy French; his sons: Scott (Sabrina) French and Craig (Shawnda) French; his granddaughters: Abigail French, Kaitlin French, and Allyson French; his brothers: Douglas (Susan) French and Gregory (Kathy) French; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00-11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 15th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where a funeral service will be held following at 11:00 AM with Pastor Doral Jackson officiating. A graveside service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
