Candy Lee Scott-Jacobs

November 11, 1946 — February 18, 2023

Candy Lee Scott-Jacobs (76) passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was born November 11, 1946 in Parchment, MI the daughter of Natalie and Robert Pangburn. Candy lived her entire life in Kalamazoo, MI and enjoyed every minute of it. In her younger and not so younger days, she was a rebel and had a wicked sense of humor. Even in her later years, she would enjoy the occasional Long Island Iced Tea, of which the rest of us could not understand. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and she was a caregiver with the local Kalamazoo Nature Center. She loved animals and over the years, she cared for dogs, cats, goats, chickens, crows, horses and pigs. The family has animal stories to share that will bring a smile to your face.

On April 15, 1994, she was united in marriage to Perry Jacobs, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Trecia Scott, Andrew (Fumi) Scott; granddaughter, Tabitha; her sister, June Kucks; and several nieces and nephews. The family has chosen cremation and details will be provided to the family.

Friends are welcome to join the family from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 622 South Burdick, Kalamazoo, MI 49007.
