Bruce Harvey Longjohn

Bruce Harvey Longjohn passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the age of 66. He was born May 11, 1956, to Gabriel and Jeannine (Sly) Longjohn in Kalamazoo, MI. Bruce loved the game of football. He played at Portage Central High School, and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. He worked at General Motors until he took over the family business, B & B Concrete, until his retirement. Bruce enjoyed family time with his kids and grandkids. He also had a little dog, Sissy, whom he cherished.

Bruce is survived by three children, Mike Benjamin, Tiffaney (Drew) Lett and Ashley (Gray) Wilson; 4 grandchildren, Jayden Jackson, Aiden and Andrew Lett, and Ja’nyha “JuJu”; his mother, Jeannine Longjohn; sisters, Susan Longjohn and Mary (Jeff) Jackson; brother, David (Cynthia) Longjohn. Preceding him in death were his father, Gabriel Longjohn; brothers, Mark, Brian, and Keith Longjohn; nephew, Jordan Jackson.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
