Bradley "Brad" E. Laning

Bradley Edward “Brad” Laning, age 36, of Richland, MI passed away on July 26, 2023, due to a motorcycle accident. He was born December 17, 1986, in Kalamazoo, MI the son of Pamela (Matchinski) and Gary Laning. Brad was a graduate of Schoolcraft High School and attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College and also completed on-line Harley-Davidson courses. Brad was employed as a Finance/Sales Manager at Perry Harley-Davidson for 5 years and also recently was working part-time at Auto Zone.

He loved his motorcycles, whether spending time selling them, working on them or riding by himself or with family and all of his friends. Brad enjoyed collecting numerous motorcycle helmets, Harley-Davidson gas tanks, historic gas cans and all motorcycle memorabilia. He enjoyed grilling for his family, playing hockey, attending volleyball games for both of his daughters, Maddison and Ava, attending competitive cheer for Maddison, attending cheer, horse riding competitions and track with Ava who ran hurdles following in her dad’s footsteps, and attending baseball games for his son, Braxton. Brad also enjoyed spending time with his brother, Ethan and son, Braxton building and riding motorcycles. He was always there for all family outings and events. Brad was a very kind, caring and generous person. He was always there to help family and others. Brad also enjoyed his pets, 2 cats Halloween and Kiki, a turtle Myrtle, and a dog Onyx.

Brad was a loving father to his surviving children, Maddison, Ava and Braxton; a loving son to his mother and father, Pam and Gary; a loving brother to, Ethan (Samantha); a special uncle to, Kennedy, Grayson, Easton and Parker. Also surviving is his former wife and mother of his children, Sarah Laning; and special friend, Carly Noteboom. Brad was preceded in death by his son, Jace Ryder Laning.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 2-7 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 3926 S 9th St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
