Betty Anne Hale

July 22, 1939 — November 24, 2006

HALE, Mrs. Betty Anne of Portage Went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 24, 2006. Betty was born July 22, 1939, in Comstock, the daughter of Gerald and Marie Scheffers Mulder and has been a lifelong area resident. She was a lifelong active member to the Trinity Reformed Church where she served on the Consistory and as a Sunday School Teacher. For many years she served as leader in Bible Study Fellowship and was presently a leader in Community Bible Study CBS where she had been involved for over 15 years. She was employed for several years with Bouwens Furniture and was currently employed with Douglas & Sons on S. Westnedge. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; by a daughter, Lisa Marie Hale; and by a son-in-law, Ronald Craft. On June 19, 1951, she was united in marriage to John Hale who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Leslie Anne Craft of Paw Paw; two granddaughters, Alyssa Marie Craft and Andrea Lee Craft; an aunt, Ida Elzinga and many cousins. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Home, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the Trinity Reformed Church 326 W. Cork St. with Rev. Jacques Nel officiating. A private interment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorials in Betty?s memory may be directed to Trinity Reformed Church.
