Eulogy
Thank you all for joining us today to honor and remember Barbara Lang. Barbara was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, Aunt, cousin and dear friend to many.
Barbara is survived by: four siblings Teid, Don, Ron, and Alice. Three Sons, Mark, Rick, Robert, and stepdaughter Chris, and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Although we are saddened by her loss, we can take comfort in knowing that she has touched so many lives and the memories we shared with Barbara will always be a source of inspiration and guidance to remind us to live life with courage, strength, love, kindness and laughter.
Barbara was born in Kalamazoo on October 25, 1942. She graduated from Richland High School June 6th, 1961 and then went on to complete her LPN degree at Nazareth School of Nursing in 1963.
I know each of you are very saddened by Barbara's passing. And today, as we honor her memory together, I want to highlight what made Barbara so special. If I had to use just four words to describe , I would say: Barbara Kindness, compassionate, giving and loving. I am sure each of you could add lots more, as I know you experienced Barbara's love in a special way.
As you may know, Barbara loved others deeply and enjoyed each moment she got to spend with her friends, and family. Especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barbara was passionate about spending anytime she could with family and friends and making the best of each memory whether it was at a family reunions, playing volleyball, softball, bowling, going to flea markets, garage sales, or at home doing home renovations, campfires and playing with the kids in
the backyard, or in her home with the treasures she would find to share with the grandkids and great grandchildren.
Barbara was special. Barbara mattered. She also made an impact in many lives through work and church; touching many we may not know. Barbara worked in healthcare as a LPN for 40 plus years in Michigan and Ohio.
I will close with a quote that has brings me comfort. I hope it does the same for you.
"All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." - Helen Keller
Thank you all once again for honoring Barbara's life with your presence today. May we all continue to love deeply and may each gift of love from Barbara remain a part of us.
