Ann L. (Hicks) Finnefrock

Ann L. (Hicks) Finnefrock passed away Friday morning, July 28, 2023 at the age of 88 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born December 23, 1934 the daughter of the late Victor and Doris Hicks in Alma, MI.

Ann has one brother surviving Jim (Mary) Hicks of Alma, MI; and several nieces and nephews surviving.

Ann is also survived by her husband of 66 years, Don Finnefrock. Together they had two children, Steve of Texas Township and Kristi of Schoolcraft. Ann was a graduate of Western Michigan University with high honors in teacher education and taught second grade in Corunna Public Schools. When she left, the Board of Education named her the best elementary teacher the school system ever had. After leaving teaching, Ann spent the rest of her time as a loving mother and wife. She loved watching WMU football, basketball, and baseball games. She also loved times going to the Traverse City area and Hilton Head, South Carolina. Ann was a wonderful friend and will be missed by many. A celebration of Ann’s life will be held from 5:00-7:30pm Friday, August 4 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
