Aaron Brander Parsons, age 43, passed away October 29th, 2023 at his home in Parchment, Michigan. Aaron passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family. He was born to Juli Parsons-Gernaat of Otsego and Fidencio Sanchez of Kalamazoo on May 30th,1980 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Aaron grew up in Otsego and was a 1998 graduate of Otsego High School. In life he was a handyman, a carpenter, a security guard, a lifeguard, but first and foremost, a father. He met his wife Nicole "Nikki" (Elsman) Parsons in 1995 at Kindelberger Festival and they have been inseparable ever since. They may have married September 22nd, 2002, but their love transcends time itself. “I love you more” was their motto, and “Cross My Heart” by George Strait was their song. They have always been the definition of a "forever love".
Aaron was a compassionate, kindhearted, brave, intelligent man. He was always willing to lend a hand to friends, family, strangers; if you were in need, all you would have to do is give him a sign and he would be there. He had a love for cooking, fishing, camping, dancing, movies, jeeps, fun facts, woodworking, and being with his family. He was the "King of dad jokes", just like his grandfather before him, and he was always the most charismatic man in the room. He strived to be even half the man he saw in his Papa (and he was). He was always adamant that his love for his children was unwavering and in stone. His kids would say he's the smartest man they've ever met, but his wife, Nikki, would call him her "Gentle Giant". He was, and will always be, their protector and hero.
Aaron is preceded in death by his grandfather, Stanley Parsons. He is survived by his loving wife, Nikki; his children, Bree, Gracie, AJ, Clara, and Torris; his mother, Juli Parsons-Gernaat; his grandmother, Audrey (Rutlidge) Parsons. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
