Sally Ann (Froberg) Dennison, of Portage, formerly of St. Joseph, passed away Monday morning, March 19, 2018, at her home. Sally was born October 19, 1959 in Benton Harbor the daughter of James and Betty (Richey) Froberg.
As a graduate of Lake Michigan College, Sally was a CDA & RDA and worked in the dental office of Dr. Rick Klug for over two decades. It was here where she met the love her life for the first time, Steve Dennison, who was a patient of another dentist at Stadium Dental Center.
On September 20, 1986, Sally was united in marriage to Steve, who survives.
Recently she worked part-time for Sneller Snow Systems and Landscaping handling their Accounts Receivables. Her gift of organization and working with numbers is what she loved most about her job.
Sally and her husband were a part of assisting Homeschool Performing Arts (HPA) expand to the Kalamazoo area where she spent fourteen years managing and selling tickets as her children performed in/choreographed for many shows. She was known as "The Ticket Lady."
Sally enjoyed summer time, savoring walks on the beach, swimming, soaking up the sunshine, and collecting seashells. However, her greatest enjoyment was serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by serving her family: husband, Steve Dennison; children, Whitney (Andrew) Mayer, Christa (Joshua) Moxon, Andrew Dennison, Brye Dennison, Kiersten Dennison, Lainey Dennison; and grandchildren, Evan, Avery, and Harper Mayer, who all survive her.
Also surviving are her sister, Susan (Michael) Topp, brother, James Froberg; in laws, Pamela (Jeffery) Dawson, Scott (Amy) Dennison, Brenda (William) Hobbs; and several nieces and nephews. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in- law, Lorri Froberg.
A public service to celebrate Sally's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Comstock Community Auditorium, 2107 North 26th Street, Kalamazoo, 49048, the same location that HPA of Kalamazoo practices, where performances occur, and where Sally sold tickets.
A graveside service will be held at Noon on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Portage South Cemetery, 7719 S Westnedge Ave, Portage, MI 49002.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Homeschool Performing Arts.
