Roselia Flores Hamilton, 70, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2017 at home with her family by her side. She was born on April 28, 1947 in San Vicente, El Salvador, a daughter of Manuel Vicente Flores Melara and Teodula Andrades Portillo. In 1984, Roselia met the love of her life, Kenneth L. Hamilton, in Houston, Texas and they united in marriage on July 19, 1985. They moved to Kalamazoo in 1986. He preceded her in being with the lord in 2004. Surviving are her three children: Yanira of Battle Creek, Fredy of Kalamazoo, and Carlos Flores of El Salvador; 8 grandchildren, Nancy, Jasmine, & Brian Macias, Monika, Valeria, & Antonio Flores, Nicolle & Carlos Oliva, Noé Silvestre, and Ezabell Elana Parsons; 1 great-granddaughter: Gabriela Hinman; sister: Berta Flores Diaz in San Salvador and several more loved ones in Michigan and San Salvador, El Salvador. Roselia enjoyed cooking for her many friends and family, traveling, and dancing to music. A funeral service for Roselia will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Iglesia Evangelica Misionera, 551 Phelps Ave., Kalamazoo, where friends may visit with her family from 11:00 AM until the time of services. Private family interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be directed to her family.
