Mike R. Austin

Mike Austin, 64, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born November 4, 1953 to the late Raymond and Ardyce "Mae" (Burwash) Austin. Mike served in the U.S. Army from January of 1972 until honorably discharged in December of 1974. He always loved to be outdoors, and in recent years had grown fond of canoeing the local rivers. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He will be sorely missed by all that loved him. Mike is survived by his children, Jamie (Melissa) Hodges, Brandy (Darius) Dlugoss, Angie (William) Pio, and Jennifer Walker; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Diane (Richard) Adams, Lynn (Cliff) Leffew, Patti Jaquay, Terry (Rosemary) Austin, and Gregg (Debbie) Austin; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Mike was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother. A memorial gathering will take place on Friday, June 8, 3 p.m. at Schrier Park Indoor Pavilion.
