Mike passed away Friday morning, April 27, 2018 at the Laurels of Galesburg. He was born on June 14, 1939 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Erial and Evelyn (Vendenville) Perigo. Mike was a 1957 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. He was a long-time member of the Mid-Michigan Railroad Club and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Surviving are his five sons: David, William (Katharina), Jeffery, Matthew, and Andrew (Whitney) Perigo; three grandchildren: Ashley (Aaron) Knauss, Brittney and Kiera Perigo; great-great-granddaughter: Elizabeth Knauss; nephew: Stephen (Lois) Dykehouse; niece: Laurie (Bill) Hubbard; and former spouse: Cassandra M. Perigo. Preceding him in death were his parents and sister: Arielle 'June' Dykehouse. A gathering to celebrate Mike's life will be held from 5-8 PM on Thursday, May 3, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street.
