Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday, January 9th at Borgess Nursing Home in Kalamazoo. She was born January 4, 1913 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late John W. and Rose D. Tanquey Cole. Mable was united in marriage to Phillip H. Rey on August 9, 1935 in Kalamazoo. Phillip preceded her in death on November 27, 1990. She was a member of Doster Reformed Church, Pine Lake, for many years. She loved to crochet and enjoyed sending out greeting cards to family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing and loved to shop. Surviving Mable are her children, Phillip Mary Jean Rey of Kalamazoo, John Rey of Schoolcraft, Arlene Rasler of Kalamazoo and Marilyn Rex Knotts of Kalamazoo; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; sister, Gertrude Zomer. Preceding her in death were sisters, Alice Hess and Edith McCurdie. A visitation will be held, Friday, January 11th from 5-8:00 o'clock at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo. Funeral services will take place at the Memorial Chapel on Saturday, the 12th, at 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
