Lois Ada Joslyn went home to her Lord in Battle Creek on January 31, 2023. She was born December 20, 1938, to Clifford and Helen (Greene) Worden, who preceded her in death.
Lois married Lowell Joslyn on May 26, 1962, and they were blessed with two sons. She became a dedicated member of the Order of Eastern Star when she was 18 and had lifelong involvement with the OES, ending with her services at the office of the Grand Secretary Marshall OES office in 2019. She served as the Worthy Matron of the Royal Maple Leaf Chapter of Climax and the Bedford Chapter; 1979 Grand Chapter Committee Member; 2000 Grand Chaplin; 2009 Grand Representative to Nevada; and 2020 President of the Past Appointed Grand Officers group. Her career was spent at Michigan Bell Telephone Company and Climax Scotts Community Schools as high school Secretary for 30 years, from July 1, 1974 to September 1, 2004. Lois loved reading her bible and always made sure that God was in her story. She also enjoyed reading Harlequin romance books, gardening, camping, and knitting. Her greatest joy was her family, they will miss her dearly.
Lois is survived by her sons Craig Joslyn and David Joslyn, both of Climax; granddaughter Brooklyn Joslyn; grandsons Levi Joslyn and Matthew Joslyn; brother Ralph (Suzie) Worden; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Lois will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 205 E. Maple St., Climax, MI 49034 on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 with a brief Order of Eastern Star service to conclude. A luncheon will follow at the Education building next to the Climax United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Lois to Order of the Eastern Star, Marshall chapter.
