Passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016. Age 73. June was born in Kalamazoo on June 28, 1943, the daughter of the late Clifford and Mary (Wilcox) McNees. She retired from Western Michigan University after 20 years of service. She was married to Marion Franklin Conkin on July 10, 1961, who preceded her in death on May 26, 2005. She is survived by four children, Marion (Marla) Conkin Jr., Timothy (Carolyn) Conkin, Susan (Rick) Little and Jeffrey (Rebecca Conley) Conkin; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Mike (Ruth) McNees, Bob (Barb) McNees, Lillian Riggins and Patricia (Rick) Gibson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford McNees Jr. Friends may visit with the family from 4 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 1st at the funeral chapel, with Pastor Greg Silvey officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South.
