Jamal was a kind, compassionate and considerate young man. He was also spontaneous and adventuresome, with many hobbies and passions. Jamal loved spending summer days and nights at his grandparents' Fair Lake cottage.

He was enjoying his new role helping to expand his friend Jordan's fingerboard making business. He was constantly improving his self-taught graphic arts skills, and hoped to receive formal education in this area one day.
