Of Richland

Genevieve Isabelle Beilby, age 98, went home to be with her Lord on November 11, 2017. Genevieve was born April 26, 1919 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Benjamin and Golden (Hatfield) Scovel. On February 11, 1939, she was united in marriage to Harold L. Beilby. Genevieve was a charter member of the Gull Lake United Methodist Church. She loved crocheting, sewing and was known to have a green thumb with all her plants. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1987; also preceded by her son Louis Beilby, daughter Beverly Myers, by 3 grandchildren Katheryn, Jonathan and Andrew, and by 2 siblings Ed and Dorothy. Surviving are 6 children John Beilby, Shirley Franklin, Harold Beilby, Jr., Edwin Beilby, Susan Beilby and Robert Beilby; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00AM on Wednesday, November 15th at the Gull Lake United Methodist Church (8640 Gull Rd.) where a service to celebrate Genevieve's life will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Edward Ross officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials in Genevieve's memory may be directed to Gull Lake United Methodist Church.
